Ready to be Dads!

Seth describing Jerry:

Eleven years ago my brother and sister-in-law married. I told them that day I hoped to be as lucky in love as they were. Just a month later, while camping in the Tennessee countryside, I met and fell deeply in love with Jerry. There is so much that I love about him. At first he seems like a quiet guy, but in fact he has much to say. In addition to finding him beautiful on the outside, I fell in love with him because of his interior qualities–he is kind and sensitive. He freely gives from his heart to everyone in his life, and thinks about and feels things on a very deep level.

Jerry is a "kid magnet", the kind of strong, sweet and quiet guy that kids love to climb on. He adores children and has a natural way with them, maybe because he helped raise his little sister. Jerry is very insightful, bright, and passionate about fairness.

Every year, I feel more rewarded by being in a relationship with Jerry. He has been very generous emotionally, and has helped me to learn a lot about matters of the heart. On a lighter level, he is a wonderfully funny person—he makes me laugh many times each day. I know that our children will be rewarded greatly by his fathering, and I can't wait to raise a family with him.

Jerry works as an attorney for San Francisco, enforcing state and local laws designed to protect the health and safety of residents. Sometimes this means suing slumlords who do not take care of their buildings or helping elderly homeowners get work done on their properties.


Jerry describing Seth:

I met and fell in love with Seth when I decided that I was ready for a relationship based on true friendship. Seth is the sweetest person I know and it's the thing I cherish most out him. He always thinks the best of others and views the world through optimistic eyes. He is just naturally supportive and loving as a friend and a partner, just as he will be as a father.

I also love Seth's passion for justice and commitment to seeing it realized in the world. We have shared many hours together raising money, making phone calls, and walking door to door to ensure that our political system is responsive to all people's needs and not just to the powerful.

Seth also is young at heart and likes nothing better than playing with kids. He finds their natural curiosity fascinating and familiar, making it easy for him to establish a bond with them. He has a goofy sense of humor that always makes me smile inside, even when I'm rolling my eyes. I love
him dearly.

Seth is trained as a neuropsychologist. This is a psychologist trained in relationships between the brain and behavior. He works with children and teens testing their learning strengths and challenges, in order to help them get the best education and treatment plans. Though he makes "his" kids work hard, Seth must do something right, because they often ask when they can come back for more!
