Raising a Child

We understand that raising a child involves infinite care, attention and patience, and we will devote ourselves to providing these things. We believe that children do best with lots of structure and consistency in the context of warmth and love.

We will always be open with our child about origins, and we will discuss how important his or her birth family was in creating our family. We will discuss adoption with openness, love, and respect. Mostly, we'd like to let you know that we will shower our future child with love and attention every day.

We have a competition going—both of us want the privilege of being the "stay at home" dad! We have worked out our schedules so this can be possible. We believe that kids need quality family time and neither of us wants to miss our baby's first word or steps.
